I remember capturing this view in September 2024 and how utterly captivated I was by Heidelberg, having just moved there.
It meant so much to me that I had to bring it to life on canvas.
I carefully observed every small detail of it so that I could fall in love again and again with each brushstroke. I aimed to capture the warmth of a late summer evening. A warmth that magically draws you in as you stand in front of it.

This view was captured on the last warm sunny day of the year overlooking the Neckar River passing through Heidelberg.
Even though it was a sunny day, something mystical I felt was in the air. Not quite definable, but somehow still carrying something hopeful.

An ode to new beginnings.
While I was moving forward in pursuit of becoming a full time artist I had a vision beginning of this year. A vision that shaped how I felt about my transitioning from a closing chapter to a new one.
Lilies to me aren’t only beautiful flowers — they resemble purity, tenderness and life. Along with it comes the fire, a mighty source and seemingly opposed but not in a harmful way.
This fire removes what harms. It reveals what endures. It prepares for purpose.
